I grab the BIG bag of green onions! Believe it or not, this is only half of it but here’s why I get the big bag if it’s on sale - I trim and wash and slice most of them, separating the whites and greens to freeze for later. I decided to keep about 8 to plant in the garden so that I have some growing all summer long. The rest I leave in the fridge for cooking now. These stay fresh for a few weeks.
