Here’s my Canadian perspective of the Stanley Cup playoffs. We all need to cheer for Edmonton Oilers. Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames didn’t make the playoffs, Winnipeg Jets finished first overall in the NHL, lost to Dallas Stars. Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators made the playoffs, lost to Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs lost to Florida Panthers, who are up 3 games to 1 against Carolina Hurricanes. Same place the Oilers are against Dallas. Unless we want to keep being reminded that a Canadian team (Habs) hasn’t won the Cup since 1993, we all have to cheer for the Oilers.
