Thanks so much to the wonderful team at Aspira-Barrie Waterford residence for supporting the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County! They hosted their own walk in support of our programs and services, and that money goes directly to help people living with dementia here. Nice work.

We are sharing a bit about one of our amazing staff members, in-home recreation coordinator Jenna! She helps people living with dementia stay active and find activities they enjoy. We are truly blessed to have people like Jenna working with us! See all of the details about what's going on with the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County with our newsletter!

💛 The Women and Children's Shelter of Barrie could use some help – and your donation will go four times as far.
We have partnered with Metro Barrie to offer gift cards to purchase. When you buy a grocery gift card for the Women and Children's Shelter of Barrie, BarrieToday and three local businesses will match your donation.
If you can, join the small gift, huge impact initiative.

The Staff at The Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County would like to recognize the efforts of our CEO Ann-Marie Kungl for all that she does through the Charity in the Community to make it a better space for all.
She is always looking for ways to help more people affected by Dementias here at home.
We have turned her into a figurine that makes her an action hero to many. Enjoy the Day!

Such a good cause, 100% of the proceeds from the Mission Thrift Stores go to the Bible League Canada. Those proceeds are then put back into our community in the form of children's camps, literacy programs and prison missions. Such a heartwarming story, all powered by the kindness of volunteers!!
My favourite quote from this story comes from the manager David Potter, "We see volunteering as a cure for loneliness."
So heartwarming! ♥️
