The Lyrica Chamber Choir celebrates 25 years of singing and of beautiful choral music on Sunday, June 1 at 3 p.m. at Burton Avenue United Church.
In honour of this milestone the choir will perform a newly commissioned work by multi-genre composer Frank Horvat, with lyrics by Barrie’s own poet laureate, Tyneisha Thomas.
The choir will also be performing favourites from past years by composers such as Vivaldi, Fauré, Byrd, Rutter, Daley, and Gjeilo, a delightful potpourri of music covering medieval to modern sounds under the masterful direction of Lucie Veillette and accompaniment by Shashini Fernando.
